    Objective
    The VP, Business Development will oversee the strategic and tactical direction of the assigned line of business and drive revenue through the efforts of direct reports. Key areas of focus will include coaching, strategy, process improvement, KPI and revenue attainment. This individual will be a SME in all aspects of Randstad Sourceright and will lead business line strategy and efforts to grow sales, cultivate client relationships, streamline efficiency and manage delivery of products/services. Scope includes overall responsibility for team development, client relationships, business partnerships, strategic alliances, management of budget and forecast and overall revenue attainment.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Leadership & Strategy

    • Determine and establish organizational structure and supervisory relationships subject to senior management team approval
    • Build, maintain and grow strategic partnerships with clients through a comprehensive understanding of the client business and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and account performance
    • Drive consultative sales process with targeted clients
    • Ensure team is developed into expert and polished consultants
    • Foster employee engagement
    • Promote a culture of inspiration that reflects the organization's values, encourages superior performance, and rewards productivity via team engagement
    • Develop best practice documentation and communication protocol for new accounts
    • Champion new technology and innovation products for adoption and understanding

    Team Leadership & Management

    • Build and cultivate a high performing, strategic business development team
    • Be accountable for hiring, firing and overall performance of direct reports
    • Develop and coach all direct and indirect reports, including performance monitoring and Great Conversations
    • Drive strategy to ensure continuous improvement in team project management
    • Plan, train and ensure continuous development of staff
    • Demonstrate inspirational leadership; leading by example
    • Ensure team goals and SLAs are aligned to meet SLA and budget

    Client Responsibilities

    • Develop appropriate high-level client relationships to practically identify future service needs
    • Monitor adherence to client guidelines and policies
    • Ensure team partners seamlessly with clients to establish and maintain standards for overall strategy, business requirements, service delivery and policies and procedures
    • Ensure timely business reviews are conducted on all assigned accounts
    • Act as project escalation point for client and drive successful and prompt resolution to all customer, team and field issues

    Driving Execution

    • Leverage LEAN principles to improve and streamline work processes, and enhance efficiencies directly influencing stakeholder/customer business results and KPIs
    • Develop innovative initiatives enhancing internal efficiency and effectiveness while concurrently performing against annual growth targets
    • Execute against growth goals by leveraging relationships and positioning RSR as a multi-dimensional solution with resources to meet a multitude of needs and high-level skill sets
    • Drive successful and prompt resolution to all customer, team and field issues
    • Foster appropriate high-level client relationships to practically identify future service needs

    Impact

    • Ensure successful sales and account management across assigned line of RSR NA business
    • Develop and enhance best practices, processes, methodologies and collateral materials
    • Erroneous decision or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to major objectives of the organization and would seriously affect the financial, associate or public relations posture of the company

    Liaison

    • Support sales efforts by developing and delivering presentations on organization's best practices
    • Partner with Solution Design, Client Delivery teams and service line SME's as well as client managers to anticipate needs and proper allocation of resources
    • Conduct briefings and technical meetings for top management and within assigned line of business. Interact with equivalent level inter-organizational managers concerning matters of significance to the company.

    Financial Performance Accountability

    • Monitor and control costs and bear responsibility for full P&L in assigned line of business while ensuring profitability of the business, adherence to the contract and SLAs, and to seeking out opportunities for improvement
    • Strive to maximize all opportunities and revenue available within portfolio of client accounts
    • Lead and manage a team to out-perform against all key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs)

    Education

    • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Bachelor's degree required
    • Graduate Degree/Advanced degree preferred

    Work Experience

    • 8-10 years related experience
    • Experience managing teams
    • Experience in the staffing industry
