    Currently, we’re looking for a Negotiation Excellence Senior Manager who will join a dynamic team of internal consultants that is fully focused on negotiations. The team's main purpose is to improve the way we approach negotiations based on principles from behavioural economics & mechanism design and to enhance negotiation capabilities within the organization. The team has developed a structured negotiation preparation process and is coaching our negotiators with strategic advice to get more out of negotiations by increasing client margins as well as Randstad margins. The team leverages insights from game theory to develop negotiation strategies for competitive tenders in the areas of supply chain management and statement of work. The role is based in Europe. We also require flexibility to travel.

     

    You will be responsible for: 

    • Leading negotiation coaching for Sales and Operations: guiding the Sales/Operations lead through the negotiation preparation process, presenting strategic advice and actions tailored to the situation, and deriving the best negotiation strategy to increase our win rates and margins in client pursuits
    • Delivering negotiation training for Randstad Sourceright Sales, SCM, SOW and Operations teams; potentially also for other Randstad groups
    • Leading the preparation and execution of competitive tenders in supply chain management and statement of work, creating the negotiation design for suppliers based on principles from game theory & auction theory and the client specifics
    • Leading cross-functional project teams and driving the interaction between e.g. Commercial Finance, Operations, Solution Design, Implementation, Legal, Professional Services & Business Analytics to meet client’s objectives and derive the best negotiation strategy
    • Acting as a strategic consultant to senior executives within the Randstad Enterprise Group; working collaboratively to develop the necessary negotiation tactics and relationships to ensure high client growth, satisfaction and retention
    • Influencing sales, country MDs and other business leaders across the Randstad organization to update processes & practices and adapt negotiation excellence methodology. Creating and nourishing a negotiation support pipeline to lead the way to improve negotiations company-wide
    • Thought-leadership on negotiation methods + becoming and remaining an expert on the solutions provided by Randstad Sourceright
    • Identifying improvement potentials within the activities & expertise of the Negotiation Excellence department and the larger Randstad organization and driving solutions. Continually assessing industry-leading trends and practices to incorporate the latest research and new insights 
    • Ensuring that the commercial pricing is in line with Randstad Sourceright’s profitability guidelines

    What you will bring:

    • Min. 5 years of relevant experience in Sales or Procurement negotiations 
    • Proven track record of conducting high volume negotiations in multinational company environments
    • Negotiation thought leader with proven experience in establishing and driving world-class negotiations
    • Experienced presenter and trainer
    • Experience designing and leading competitive allocation of preferred supply base statuses in tiered supply bases in complex environments (30+ suppliers)
    • In-depth knowledge of Game Theory and Auction Theory
    • Project management certification (preferred) and experience leading cross-functional groups
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and proven ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership internally and externally
    • Experience preferably in the HR or Consulting industry
    • Strong analytical skills and abstraction ability
    • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
    • Strong in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
