The Director Data Architecture must interact and exert influence across all cross functional team's including implementation teams, rpa teams, warehouse teams, and integration teams. In addition, the DDA must work closely with the business so that the architecture is aligned with and capable of supporting the business strategy. The DDA will work to improve the consistency, timeliness, quality, security and availability of data throughout the virtual enterprise. This person will work with multiple  project teams and IT  to analyze, design and document conceptual and logical data models and flows in accordance with best practices to meet the organization's data goals and objectives. The Director of Data Architect will have extensive hands on experience with large scale data migrations, integrations and analytics platforms and toolsets and data modeling.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop database design and architecture documentation
  • Data Modeling for Reporting & Analytics solutions
  • Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications
  • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
  • Define and document the movement of data across the organization
  • Coordinate with the Business and Technical teams understand needs and requirements
  • Oversee data migration activities from legacy systems to new solutions
  • Improve system performance by defining tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements
  • Map data sources
  • Optimize new and current database systems
  • Define and standardize data security and backup procedures
  • Provide insight into the changing database storage and utilization requirements for the company and offer guidance for solutions
  • Analyze database implementation methods to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations that may apply
  • Help develop and enforce data quality and security procedures and practices
Minimum Requirements:
Education  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field with a Master's preferred

Experience 

  • Must have 10 years of data, reporting and analytics related experience
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role\
  • Proven work experience as a Data Modeler, expertise in Modeling tools
  • Experience with information lifecycle management, complex event processing, data masking, data quality, data replication and data virtualization
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles
  • Experience gathering and analyzing non-functional requirements and designing world class performing data solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and cloud-based integration technologies
  • Experience with Data Lake concepts, ETL Automation Techniques, Data Cataloging, AI/ML usage in Analytics
  • Knowledge and direct experience of data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Experience with ETL tools and techniques
  • Demonstrable experience designing distributed data foundations in cloud-based environment
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Domo, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • 3 -5 years Cloud based analytic platforms (AWS), GCP or Azure
  • Ability to analyze existing database schema
  • Ability to provide to lead design activities, and influence engineering and infrastructure programs
  • Ability to interact with external DBAs, business stakeholders and other technology leaders
  • Proficient using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
