job purpose

To provide an outstanding service of his/her expertise that is customer focused and drives improved organizational performance. The principal has, besides a professional role, an operational management role towards a small team of
professionals (teamlead) as well. The principal is seen as an expert and authority; he or she has a longer term strategy and acts independently.

responsibilities

The responsibilities below enable you to achieve goals and to be successful in this role.

Operational Management

Provides operational support services and sometimes acts as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area while using existing systems and
protocols.

 Management of a small team of professionals (specialising in supply chain within an RPO/MSP environment).
 Counselling of professionals.
 Coordinating tasks at departmental level.

Solutions Analysis

Develops innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources.

 Evaluating, quality monitoring and keeping the products and services of the expertise up to date.
 Providing professional knowledge and knowledge of
resources/instruments of the expertise (knowledge sharing).
 Is responsible for managing the knowledge and best practice sharing activities towards the organization.
 Contributing to new forms of services and customisation in cooperation with operations and other disciplines.
 Creating training content to educate and support the organization.
 Should become a trustful and highly knowledgeable partner to the organization.
 Creating thought leadership in the working field of RSR.
 Directing external suppliers, assessing their professional services and giving internal advice about the selection of suppliers.

Leadership and Direction

Develops and/or delivers a plan for a specific area of responsibility by managing others.

 Should coordinate tasks at departmental level.
 Provide short, medium and long-term strategies that are aligned with business goals.
 Coach and mentor team members and colleagues.
 Establish metrics, goals and expected performance levels of all teams and provide feedback and coaching where appropriate.
 Assess/survey quality of work delivered by teams.
 Coordinate or provide training when necessary for the purpose of improving skills or teaching new ones.
 Act as a role model for team members.

Recommendations

Recommends ways to improve support for operations by changing policies, processes, standards and practices.

 By drafting and developing customized solutions based on established criteria.
 Developing new products and services and/or elaboration of standard resources and/or contracts for the profession.
 Developing long term policies advices from the own profession.
 Advising internal and external clients in its own expertise.
 Provide consultancy services to external clients.
 Signalling and advising management and management team.
 Handling complex specialist questions within the profession and giving advice.
 Join client-facing meetings and give presentations.
Needs Assessment
 Builds complex frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs.
 Has vision on developments in the own professional field and translation in wishes and demands of the RSR organisation (policies, services,
