Department:

The Controlling and Reporting department is responsible for both financial control and reporting in EMEA as well as the financial coordination of RSR globally. This includes all key management information in our global BI – tool Adaptive Insights, Global Leadership Team presentations, Holding reviews but also accounting matters such as transfer pricing, international recharges and ad hoc support of our client implementation team when it comes to the financial work streams. Department works closely with regional and global leadership assessing financial performance ensuring clear radar screen to steer the business.

 

Purpose of the job:

As a junior international financial analyst you are responsible maintaining and improving key financial processes such as updating the monthly forecast, quarterly bonus calculations and accrual adjustments, international cross charges and settlements through group treasury and periodic balance sheet reviews. Next to these administrative processes you are involved in maintaining our BI-tool Adaptive insights and our Holding reporting tool Tagetik, updating data on a monthly basis. In this role you will have frequent contact with our accounting teams across Europe, America and Asia. Managing and maintaining good relationships with our International colleagues is vital to ensure smooth monthly closing and reporting.

 

Key activities:

  • Collection of data, analysis and update of monthly payroll data and estimations
  • Quarterly bonus calculations and advice on accrual adjustments.
  • Quarterly balance sheet reviews of our European entities.
  • Monthly forecast and annual budget update.
  • Responsible for maintenance on our BI-tool Adaptive Insights
  • Internal control on credit card usage
  • Support role for Esize (purchase-to-pay software)
  • Coordination of EMEA bad debt review
  • Advice and support in-country subsidiaries and the supporting back-offices in reporting systems & reports
  • Provide support to operations from a financial perspective

Experience & qualifications required:

  • A minimum of bachelor working and thinking level;
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge on accounting & reporting is required;
  • Detailed knowledge of reporting and accounting associated to internal processes;
Solid understanding of ERP & bookkeeping systems/software (experience with Tagetik and Adaptive Insights is a plus)
