The EMEA sales and solutions is responsible for the growth of new business by developing and securing profitable opportunities in the region and globally. The team is responsible for generating new leads, developing market-leading and innovative solutions to meet client needs, negotiating and closing new client contracts. The team is also the most visible ‘face’ of the Randstad Sourceright brand and its capability. It is expected to play an active role in positioning us as thought-leaders in the market through an effective focus on solutions and a consultative selling approach that highlights our advisor and professional services credibility. 

The sales team operates in a turbulent market characterized by high innovation and fierce competition. 

Job purpose

To write, source, collate and win high value MSP and RPO tenders for Randstad Sourceright whilst raising the company’s profile via exceptional quality tender submissions. To professionally tailor the tenders to the requirements of each individual client by liaison with internal stakeholders such as the Business Development colleagues. Autonomously project managing the bid process end to end, managing on own initiative; in all cases in a deadline driven environment. 

Provide analytical support to the sales effectiveness team and support the team in improving sales processes, systems and driving sales force efficiency. In order to improve sales effectiveness best practices are shared in the wider organisation and major (sales and) bid process are evaluated in lessons learned sessions with the project team. 


The responsibilities below enable you to achieve goals and to be successful in this role. 

Knowledge Management

Delivers prescribed outcomes for areas of responsibility by working within established knowledge management systems. 


  • Understands Randstad’s MSP and RPO service and products. 
  • Ensures up-to-date information stored and retained on bid library, with specific focus on end-to-end and output based case studies. 
  • Stores bids and opportunity alert documentation appropriately in client folders/library system.
  • Ensures company-wide understanding of MSP & RPO definitions and proposal deliverables, consolidates information and propose corrective actions if necessary. 


Client & Customer Management (Internal)

Supports customers to ensure their needs are met and/or helps senior colleagues manage client relationships. 



  • Should represent proposal team (in support of Bid Director) via internal presentations to key stakeholders, attendance at pre-tender briefings, representation at internal meets and at relevant RSR sales calls/meetings. 
  • Call on the support of other technical experts within the business to join on sales pitches and participate in bid input (e.g. OPS senior management and Leadership team, Technology, Talent innovation Centre etc.). 
  • Follow-up with internal/external stakeholders to gather post-bid feedback (and facilitate post-bid communications where necessary). 
  • Contribute to meetings involving internal stakeholders and should be completely knowledgeable of the requirements for each tender. 

Project Management


Delivers own projects/tenders by working within an established program management plan/ framework. 



  • Should carry out project management and completion of RFIs/ ITTs/RFPs /white papers/presentations in timely fashion to requisite quality standards. 
  • Work together with Business Development to ensure we have all information from the client in order to build a credible solution (including assistance with the solution design of operating model and account team structure). 
  • Support the end-to-end project management of international tenders by managing the written and editorial aspects of the proposal development process, and should manage tenders on own initiative. 
  • Communicate bids to internal stakeholders and creates project plan for completion of proposals. 

Data Collection & Analysis


Conducts research using primary data sources and selects relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends. 



  • Should participate in cross-team review of bid documentation to assist with quality control. 
  • Facilitate qualification calls for opportunities with internal stakeholders. 
  • Collect on own initiative and administer documentation to improve the quality of tenders in general (as well as the bid library). 

Document Preparation 




  • Develops and writes high visibility materials. 
  • Gathers and builds documents for clients in the form of introductory meetings, workshops and white papers. 

Education & experience 

General Education 




  • University/Post Graduate or equivalent professional & intellectual 





  • Experience in the MSP/RPO industry. 
  • Preferably experience with multi-country solutions. 
  • Solid experience in working within complex project environments. 
  • Experience enables job holder to deal with most situations and advise others. 
  • Basic experience of coordinating the work of others.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language
