The Resource Manager works closely with internal stakeholders to efficiently and effectively fulfill requirements for demand and supply of resources. The Resource Manager analyzes future demand for resources, works with internal stakeholders and recommends resourcing approaches to meet future demand taking into consideration skills, level of experience, geographic location, developmental objectives of the resources, and financial ramifications. The Resource Manager evaluates the selection of candidates that may include existing employees within the orgaThe Resource Manager works closely with internal stakeholders to efficiently and effectively fulfill requirements for demand and supply of resources. The Resource Manager evaluates the selection of candidates that may include existing employees within the organization, employees from other internal organizations, new hires, or third party contractors. The Resource Manager recommends actions to right size the resource pool as needed. The Resource Manager also reviews business structure and makes recommendations to leaders on changes in line with future requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

Works in partnership with line management to acquire, assess, develop, retain and deploy internal/external resources with the right skills at the right time, place and cost to fulfill client engagement requirements.

Analyzes future demand for resources based on staffing needs of existing projects, probable pipeline opportunities, and future needs to support presales opportunities.

Develops and recommends strategy to right size the resource pool based on analysis of future demand and the characteristics (quantity, skills, depth of experience, and cost profile) of the existing pool of delivery resources.

Recommends staffing approach for delivery of existing projects as well as new business opportunities.

Influences the labor mix (pyramid structure, low cost usage, third party usage, and chargeability) to support business objectives.

Successful performance is measured by achievement of the organization’s chargeability and productivity metrics, reduced dependency on third parties for client engagements, as well as minimization of the organization’s underperformance cost/absorption rate.

Wherever possible, recommends client engagement assignments to promote the enhancement of employees; skills and development of competencies needed to support the business.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree or 5 years of related experience in one of the following areas: human resources, recruiting, staffing/placement/resource management, or field consulting experience;

Knowledge of Areas of Strength and portfolio of solution offerings;

Knowledge of project skills required to deliver IT professional services;

Adequate business skills to evaluate financial impact of staffing alternatives (deploying existing staff, hiring additional staff, deploying third party contractors, deploying low cost/off-shore resources;

Advanced Excel Skill

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to influence line management in the area of project staffing

Ability to develop trusted advisor status with Delivery Partners and Senior Program/Project Managers.
